So...been in Dublin a few weeks now, living out of a suitcase. Joys of hotel life: noisy feckers slamming doors at all hours, extorinate bar/restaurant prices & having foreign room service kicking your door in on a Saturday morning when youre trying to catch up on your kip. Joys of Dublin so far: trying to get used to this funny money, Euros - pronounced YoYo's, getting on the wrong train going nowhere near work, grumpy taxi drivers and almost getting knocked down by the Tram. I have also developed a new game which i play in Dublin, its called "spot the irishman" and its an extremely difficult game! Three cheers for the EU! Thankfully there is lots and lots and lots of absolute stunners both at work and casually walking past my hotel just to tease me. Tonight i took the bus home..long queues waiting to get on the bus..2 women in their 50's kept trying to sneak past me in the queue, battle of wits, i kept making sure i moved in front of them. In the end the cheeky fuckers just walked right to the front of the queue and straight onto the bus. 50 other people in the queue pick their mouths up of the grounds. Daydream of putting queue jumpers head first out the back window. Funny sign seen on the way into Derry city centre..someone had changed a 'car park spaces' sign to say "cak arse"

long day..up at 5:50am to catch a 7:30am flight to Dublin, get to the airport. Bloody flight delayed for 40 mins. Thats extra time i could have had in bed. Or on the toilet reading a paper. Bah. Get to the site in Dublin have a quick look round, interview some nice people, spot of lunch, interview some nice people..rush back to airport for flight home. An observation in Dublin airport (probably the same in major city airpots worldwide); men in suits talking into mobile phones, marching quickly, like the world is about to end. Chill out men, take it easy, you'll all die from high blood pressure. Is work really worth it that much? Pet hate: obeying the rules to turn mobile phone off before takeoff, yet the arrogant tosser in front doesnt and gets embarrased when it goes off (incidently with a rather annoying tune) Pet hate number 2: having to take my bloody shoes off as routine when going through the security checkout. Dont they realise that some of our 'bare' socks are more lethal than any shoe bomb?

Sunday night. Just updated my website after many months sitting around scratching my arse. Bit basic but serves the purpose of being quick to load. Bored & cold. Dark nights, depressing. Can't believe im actually looking forward to work tomorrow. Applied for a new job 2 weeks ago in Prague. Had a telephone interview which went quite well & ive progressed onto the next stage (whatever that is). Out of courtesy i told my boss, 1 day later im offered a different job in the company for more money, but in Dublin. So..either way it looks like i may be on the move again. Told them id think about it. Have to fly down to Dublin for 3 days this week on business anyway (interviewing) so ill take the chance to suss it out then. Sport; United won yesterday. 2 more for Ruud! Liverpool got beat today in the battle of the long ball with Chelsea. 4-1!! Crouch is such a freak, Liverpool with one signing became Wimbledon overnight. Off to watch Series 2, Episode 2 of Lost - excellent stuff in the first one.
